school magazine analysis

Beside, we see that this school magazine is professional, simple and suitable for the genre and the audience they are aiming at.
The first thing someone sees on the cover of this magazine is the photography. Here we see that there are six students, some sitting and some standing but we see that they are all in formal attire, correlating to the magazine itself and what it's all about. It is also set outside the university itself, attracting people with the scenery and background to the college/university.

Seen as we read from a left to right way (West-end way) the title is the biggest and the boldest as well as having the college's logo contained within the Masthead of the magazine, which makes up the entire title. The font of the title is very simple yet classy but bold mainly because of the size of which the title is. As well as this, the font on the subtitles and headers is simple yet bold mainly because it suits what the magazine is about and its contents. You wouldn't chose funky and childish as well as rainbow colored font because it wouldn't suit and no one would take the magazine seriously, as well as it not consisting and demonstrating connotations of what the magazine is actually about.

The color scheme seems to be based around the colors blue and white in order to match with the mens' shirts which are blue and white because it matches and is able to compliment any color that they decide to pick.

Straight away the magazine connotes that this is obviously some sort of business and college magazine that it will inform the reader what the company is all about (without even reading the title.)

If we look at the young and rubicam stages this magazine would appeal to those who are mainly aspirer's and mainstreamers who are trying to succeed, especially getting into colleges like this one for example.
